Look:I am a nurse and this is one of the very few white shoes I can find to fit my size 13-14 feet. It takes a while to break in but then it's a comfortable, flexible shoe. It's quite supportive, and deep enough to accommodate orthotics. Has a long wearing sole (7+ months on this pair worn every day and will probably get 9-10 months). Nice leather, too. Average for slip resistance on wet floors. This shoe tends to run about half a size large. I bought several pairs as I like them a lot.

Look:When my shoes arrived, they seemed OK. After a month, I noticed that the left shoe had a duller finish and the right shoe was noisy, when I walked. Then I noticed that the rear of the shoes looked different. Zappos was happy to exchange the shoes with a new, at no cost to me. The new pair seem perfect. I plan to order more from Zappos.

Look:Great shoes. I have very wide feet, 4E. I also needed a waterproof shoe for walking my dog. Finding the two together was great. They are very comfortable, and keep my feet nice and dry.

Look:Bought these for my husband in white to sub as an athletic shoe for walking on vacation. Athletic shoes in a men\'s narrow width always dig into his foot where the shoe bends. He wears Rockport dress shoes all the time so we gave it a try. I couldn\'t get him to break them in before we left town. He put them on that morning and wore them all day, every day for 2 weeks straight. He said they were so comfortable he felt no need to remove them except for sleeping!

Look:These shoes provide great support. Comfortable right out of the box and get even better after a few days of wear. They have plenty of room if you need to insert orthotics which was an important feature to me.

A less expensive shoe and feels a little cheaper. Not a lot of inside lining in the toe area. Soft leather and would not need a lot of breaking in. A little too casual for business casual but I do see people on the street with similar shoes worn as business casual. Waterproof a plus. I wear orthotics and even though there is a thick insole they seemed to run a little small, between a quarter and half size. I am returning them and trying a different shoe.

Look:Very comfortable right out of the box. The padded tube things that are just below the ankle give great support and comfort, and are what makes this shoe really superb. They dip down below the ankle, so there is no breaking in there. The workmanship is first class, which I expect from Rockport. I got the black ones, which look good. Not a running shoe, not a dress shoe, but good for everything else: office, boat, bicycle, hiking... I had been looking for many years for a replacement of the Rockport boat shoe, which they stopped making and which was a really great shoe. I tried some that cost hundreds of dollars, but they were either uncomfortable or fell apart too soon. One pair got squeaky. These shoes are relatively cheap, fit exactly right, have perfect arch support, are comfortable with no break in, lightweight, and stable.

Rockport Astride XW - I had actually wanted the FOOTONIC II, which I had gotten from you before. It was the best fit for an extra wide foot that I have found. But apparently you don't carry it anymore. The Rockport Astride fits OK in the 4eeee Extra Wide. As usual, your delivery service was outstanding!

Handsome, well made. This shoe is slightly less athletic looking than many walkers, looks very well made and no more expensive than it is offered by Zappos, my favorite shoe outlet. The toe box is fairly tall, and not too tapered in width, a comfortable combo if, like me, your toes slay out like a duck. The removable insole that comes with it has a flex groove with a slightly raised edge that hit me exactly in a sensitive spot on the ball of my foot, probably not an issue with most people, but I had to remove them and use my own, hence the four star comfort rating. Rockport should take a look at this design, though. The footbed and midsole are somewhat firmer than a New Balance, but supportive, and I am assuming a natural flex after break-in. In short, a nice looking shoe, very well made, supportive if a bit firm in the midsole, with plenty of room for an orthotic, and a good fit in the heel.

Gift for my father - I bought these for my father's birthday-he is on his feet all day-and has trouble with his arches. He says he loves the shoes!! I may look into getting another style for him for Christmas!!

Comparison to Dunham - Thought I would give Rockport a shot after wearing Dunhams for so long. This shoe while looks are fine it has some faults. Although true to size its a little light weight for comfort all day long on a concrete floor. Not enough padding and support, had to replace with something heavier.

I have found very few shoes that are comfortably wide for me. The outer edge of my foot is sensitive and is only comfortable in extra wide shoes. Rockport Astride (white only) shoes are the most comfortable that I have found. Interestingly, the shoe in black is not quite as wide as in white.

Comfortable shoes that look fine in a moderately casual work setting. Up and down at work all day, I need a shoe that is easy on the feet and looks ok in a corporate casual setting. This is my third pair of Rockports in 4+ years. I keep the others for around the house errands, they are great for travel days too. Good shoes for what I need them for.

Very comfortable However... First, I like these shoes. Felt great right out of the box. 15EE for me and they are nice and wide. 2 things, one they are not the best looking shoes. Kind of have a rubber look that made me wonder if made by Goodyear or something? The other is a bit of a funky smell when you take them off. Some type of an industrial smell? (And no, it’s not my feet.) Other than that I like them a lot and glad I bought them. Very comfortable.

Rockport Astride 10-W - I ordered these for my husband to replace his Rockport ProWalker 8100's. They are well constructed and needed no breaking-in time. According to him, they were excellent right out of the box and are great for all day wear.

Rockport Shoes - I have worn Rockports for many years. I have arthritis in my feet, so I need real comfort. My only complaint is that every Rockport I have ever owned was too wide. The "narrow" is really a medium, so I have to "supplement" to get it to fit well. I wish Rockport would make a real narrow (A) for those of us with narrow feet. Living in Portland, OR., I do love the waterproof leather.

Go get your own pair - I found these shoes to be very comfortable to wear at work. No they are not fancy Italian leather, but your feet feel fine when you come home at night.

Uncomfortable insole - Everything was good about the shoe except for the insole. They have inserted what looks like a clear hard plastic strip underneath the insole. I tried for several days wearing them around the house on the carpet, but could never find them comfortable. Went back to Clarks.
