Look: not as stylish as others available, but can be worn easily with a suit. Fit: May run a little smaller than the size indicates. I have orthotics, and they won't fit into a size 13 like every other pair of shoes I own. On the bright side, they're comfortable enough that I can actually wear them without needing the orthotics.

This is the most comfortable pair of dress shoes I have ever worn. I walk miles in them without ever having any problems at the end of the day. They feel like sneakers. Very classy style and I would recommend them to anyone.

Great shoes! I have pwned many pairs of Rockport dress shoes. Clearly, Rockport makes two categories of dress shoes: basic, cheaper shoes and super-comfy, high tech shoes....these are the later. They have as much cushion and support as any sneakers I\'ve owned. They are the type of shoe Rockport built its rep on...comfy shoes disguised as dress shoes.

I have only one complaint with these shoes. They have a composite type sole and they squeak loudly on marble/tile flooring. I've tried to powder the insoles, sand the outer soles, but nothing works. They fit and look nice, but I can't wear them to the courthouse where I work because of the loud squeaking noise.

Nice Shoes. Not as comfortable as other Rockports I've owned, but still not bad for a dressy shoe. I work in a restaurant and bought these to replace another discontinued model of Rockports. They were so great I will never buy another brand, but these are just okay. They make a little squeak when I walk which is kind of annoying, but livable. I think the waterproof sole is much more comfortable than what is on this shoe. Straight out of the box the shoes are really slippery even on carpet, but after you wear them a day, they are good even on greasy kitchen floors. I almost sent them back because of that, so just throwing it out there. Overall, a nice reasonably comfortable shoe, but not the best of the Rockport line.

The Rockport Crowthornes are fabulous. Comfortable the first time you wear them and within a week, it feels like you have owned them forever. They seem to breathe very well and feel great on the feet. I highly recommend them.

Wide shoe that doesn't look wide - Nice looking shoe, excellent fit, better than shoes that I've tried on in stores! The best thing is that it looks narrow and normal as opposed to the 'orthopedic' look of other wide shoes I've owned.

The best I found this time - I am often on my feet for several hours at a time, so I was looking for shoes that make that possible without pain. I also have rather wide feet. I bought these as size 9/4E, and they fit perfectly. They required no significant breaking in (stiffness was gone within 30 minutes). They remain comfortable. The only downsides I can find: 1. the appearance of the shoe is a bit dowdier than I'd like. 2. I really don't care for the "U" shaped heel (see the images). It works OK, but makes it clear that you're wearing a comfort shoe.

Excellent Rockport Quality - This shoe is extremely comfortable to walk in. They're actually more comfortable than some sneakers I own. I've been a big fan of the DMX insoles for a while and these don't disappoint. I do miss the old style seem that ran around the perimeter of the toe, but these are still stylish. For me they are a great combination of comfort and looks.

I love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable without a breaking-in period. I ordered a size 10, I usually wear a 10 wide. These were plenty wide even with a heavier sock. The strap also makes them adjustable.

Terrific shoes - I needed comfortable dress shoes. I went to several stores and tried many other brands and models, including Mephisto, Bruno Magli, Ecco, and other Rockport models. These were the only shoes that felt comfortable as soon as I put them on, and they have only gotten more comfortable as I have worn them. In fact, they feel more comfortable than my running shoes. Highly recommended.

I walk a lot, typically wearing a suit, sometimes in wet weather. So I was looking for a shoe that is comfortable, well padded, water-proof, and at least respectable looking. The Crowthorne seems to hit all four criteria. The soft top is very pliant. The sole is great for long walks on pavement.

Good looking dress shoe - This shoe is built with the usual Rockport comfort and is the most comfortable shoe I could get away with wearing with a suit. Look good, too. I have these in two colors.

Fits well - I wear orthodics so I need a large (13) extra wide (EEEE or WW) shoe. I find that the best fitting and most comfortable shoes to get "off the rack" for me are Rockports with rubber soles. Unlike other brands, their sizing was consistent with other Rockports I have bought so I don't have to worry about sending a pair back because of size inconsistency.

A little snug - I like the styling for a wide shoe. The leather is very soft. When I first tried it on I thought I was going to have to return the shoes as they were a little tight on the width, which was odd since they were already a wide width (are my feet getting wider?). After breaking them in for a couple of hours around the house, they became much more comfortable. I now wear them on a regular basis with no issue.
