Look:Great arch support. Wider than Energetic and Pacific in the toe box. Allows toes to work as they should as you walk by gripping. No lateral toe crunching here! I am an 11.5 in a women's and find the mens 10 medium is perfect without the heel being too wide. I just ordered my second pair in 3 years. I work in healthcare and am on my feet 12 hours. I switch these out with the Pacific ever other day and it keeps my PF in check.

Got these shoes for my husband, who is super picky about shoes. He loves them! He has always had back problems, but just wearing these shoes and going about his day in them has eased them a lot. He just says they are not good for a lot of driving, the incline makes his foot go numb stepping on the pedals for too long. He can feel how the incline is forcing him to correct his posture and now keeps telling me I should buy some Earth shoes for myself because of how awesome they are. Pretty good recommendation from a guy who loves to complain.

Comfortable once you get the sizing right, but the sizes do run large, at least at the upper end of the spectrum. I wear an 11 1/2, but in Earth shoes that translates to an 11.\r\n\r\nConstruction feels very solid.

Look:First off, thank you Zappos for free shipping to Alaska. Many online shops advertise free shipping except AK, HI and Puerto Rico. Zappos made no exception and it didn't come parcel post that takes months. It came first class. The shoes really help my back. In the '70s I heard about Earth Shoes and thought it was just a gimmick plus they looked weird. These shoes look like any other walking shoe and are really comfortable. I started volunteering at our farmer's market this summer and the first 2 weeks of being on my feet for 12 hours I could hardly walk by the end of the day. My lower back was so sore all I could do was soak in a hot tub before bed. I ordered my new Earth shoes after the second market and they were delivered in less then a week. I took a 2 mile walk the first day; I had them to get used to them. Then it was market day again. I was on my feet even a little longer then usual. I was tired at the end of the day but my back was feeling great. No pain or stiffness at all. I've had the shoes a little over a month now and lower back pain seems to be a thing of the past. Thank you Zappos and Earth Shoes.

Solid Performer - Heavier construction than another pair of Earth shoes I own. When I know I'm going to be on my feet running errands and chasing after my 4 year old for 10 hours I put these on. Not real attractive, but they're tough without being clumsy plus I know I'm walking correctly. My legs and back feel better and don't get fatigued.

Look:I have been experiencing calf and lower back pain over the past couple of years whenever I walked over a quarter of a mile or stood on any hard surface for a prolonged period of time. Have tried various inserts to solve this problem - but none seemed to work. So after reading the reviews on the Rocket K - Vegan on this website, I decided to buy a pair, which turned out to be one of the better decisions I have made in a while! Not only were these shoes very comfortable to wear right out of the box - they have also completely alleviated the leg/back pain that I had been experiencing whenever I tried to walk longer distances. I have been wearing these shoes for a little over a week now and have increased the distance I am able to walk everyday from a 1/4 mile to three miles - without any pain, but as other reviewers have noted, it does take a little while to get used to them since they do change your posture and gait (in a positive way) and you will discover muscles in your lower legs that you never knew existed before! Another plus for the Rocket K is that they aren’t quite as bizarre looking as most Earth shoes. This model is a bit clunky looking - but looks almost like a regular pair of athletic shoes. However, the comfort and therapeutic benefits of these shoes more than compensate for their styling deficiencies. And, as always, Zappos’ service was excellent. Ordered these shoes on a Friday afternoon and received them on the following Monday (with free shipping). You can’t beat that for service.

3rd pair in 30 years - I had my first pair of Earth shoes in the 70's. Odd looking but extreme comfort, I bought these as I was on my feet all day and had back problems. They alieviated my back issues by forcing me to "straighten up"! I bought the Rocket K's a year ago as once again, I am on my feet in our inn all day and the same results. As a runner, I have had issues with Morton's neuroma, a condition caused by the toe hitting the front of the shoe and the wide toe box of Earth shoes is designed to really fit a foot shape unlike those pointy witch toed shoes that are so popular with city dwellers. Yes, they might look somewhat dorky but what's more important? Comfort or perceived looks? I vote for comfort any day. My first pair had a manufacturing defect. The midsole came unglued. I contacted Zappos and they not only told me to return them, but they also sent me a gift certificate for my trouble. I got another pair of Rocket K's and with the gift certificate I bought a new pair of running shoes!!! I am truly Charlie Brown happy!!!

Pleasantly Surprised - I needed a shoe that would help me to train my lower legs and spare my lower back after recently undergoing knee surgery. I’ve researched a lot of shoes and chose Earth Rocket K partly because of other reviews and partly because of Zappos reputation as an online shoe company. I’m a practical guy who likes functionality more than eye appeal. I’m very happy with these shoes, having used them to walk around the house in as a start. Probably the thing that impressed me the most was wearing them while ironing my clothes for work. Standing for 90 minutes plus can take a toll on the lower back, but these shoes made a world of difference! A pair of shoes that live up to the ad! As for the looks, to me they look just fine. Would I buy another pair or recommend them? Absolutely!

Look:This shoe is very nice and makes me want to come back to Earth for my next pair of shoes. The negative heel took quite a while to get used to and the first several weeks I wore these, I could feel my hamstrings being stretched. After the initial discomfort of getting used to these shoes they have been great. Even with long hours on my feet, my back feels great, while with more traditional shoes my back would begin to hurt after just a few minutes. On the downside, when wet, these shoes squeak terribly on tile or vinyl flooring.

These shoes saved my back! I had been trying to get by with non-Earth shoes for 8 months and my back, legs and energy level had been paying the price. I have a lot of walking on hard surfaces for my new job and these shoes have been a blessing.

Best yet - I have been looking for walking shoes that would not hurt my feet. This shoe fits the bill with the square, bigger toe box, lightweight material, and overall comfort. I will buy another pair when these wear out. I also have 2 pair of Solar in black for work and they are wonderful. Dressy looking and very comfortable as I am on my feet 8 hours a day, five days a week. The free shipping at Zappos is the greatest. Thanks!

Awesome Shoes - As a vegan, I absolutely love these shoes. I am a guy who loves to cook with soy products and eat vegan for environmental purposes. I also own a veggie-conversion 1973 Mercedes diesel wagon with earth friendly seat covers. If you love the environment and animals, you should buy these shoes.

Best shoes ever - I'm a nurse who works 16 hours shifts back to back. These are the only shoes where I did not have to change during my long shift. Now Earth shoes are the only shoes that are on my feet. These shoes have held up very well.

GREAT COMFORT, JUNKY CONSTRUCTION - This shoe is an absolute Godsend as far comfort. It basically cured my plantar fasciitis (I have very high arches) and have tried just about every orthotic, shoe design and insert possible. I wear them everywhere, BUT I am very unhappy with the construction. Just about 1 week after I purchased them I noticed that the glue on the sole was breaking down and coming apart. Also the rubber on the bottom of the sole has also started to come off and many of the emblems that were glued on the side of the shoe were also coming off. Zappos kindly shipped me out a new pair but the new pair did the same thing. Well, needless to say, I kept the shoe, but they literally fall apart very quickly.

I just received a pair of these shoes and am in a bit of a quandary. In person, up close, they're quiet possibly the ugliest pair of shoes I've ever seen. But they're so comfortable and have a wonderful fit to them, with a heel that feels lower than the rest of the shoe and probably helps guard against excess leg shock and shin splints. Not sure whether I'm going to keep them or not though, because I can't stand to look at them. Maybe I'll save them for night walks.

Nice shoe - I have worn these now for about a month and so far so good. I do a lot of cardio in the gym and so far they are serving there purpose insofar as good fore foot support.

Love these shoes but . . . I got these for my husband who has bad feet from years of walking on concrete floors at work. The negative heel helped him right away and he loves the look of them. They do have a bit of a break in period as they are a little stiff at first so he only wore them for half days for about the first two weeks. But now he wears them exclusively at work and says his feet have never felt better! This is the third pair we've bought, two for me and just these for him. We love Earth shoes and Zappos - they delivered all three overnight free of charge!!! And when we had to return the first pair due to ordering the wrong size, there was no problem at all. I love Zappos!! This is a company that many other companies should learn from when it comes to customer service. WE are definitely loyal Zappos customers now and we'll be getting all our shoes from them.

Surprising! These shoes definitely take a little getting used to, but once you do, there's no going back! I feel so awkward now when I wear a standard tennis hoe or any shoe really. Great stuff!

Great shoe - Very comfortable - roomy toe box, comfortably snug heel, cushy insoles. Heel more negative than some other Earth shoes, which feels very good to me. I usually wear 8 in other brands, but 7.5 is just right in this shoe. I bought 3 pairs - brown for walking, black for casual wear, and white for the gym. Love them all. Good non-marking traction soles, very good ventilation (a little too much for cold weather), good laces that actually stay tied.

Awesome shoe! These are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever owned! I feel that they keep my whole body aligned properly and it feels like I can walk for miles in them. Also, this color is great. Much better than the women's selection of colors!

A tennis shoe with flair! I bought these along with another pair of Earth shoes and so far have been very pleased with both, although I am really only wearing these during my gym exercise. They are certainly one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Highly recommended!

Have to buy another pair - My daughter, the fashion horse, reluctantly tried these shoes and went for a jog. She thought they were OK on the cuteness scale BUT when she came back from her workout she said she would not want to EVER wear another pair of running shoes. She ran farther, had better form and he posture was great when walking. She left for college and took MY earth rocket shoes with her.
