More Room at the Top, Please. I really love the look of this shoe. My only issue has been that since my forefoot is wide, but my heel is average, I formed a blister over my Achilles tendon when I wore these for eight hours at work. The shoe is a little tight on top, as well, since I have a high instep. However, with a little blister stick on the top of my foot and a blister pad on my tendon, these should be fine with more wear. I really needed a slightly dressy shoe that would work with skirts, dresses, and pants and these fit the bill. I would put a little more give into the top. Perhaps an elastic gusset in the upper corners. The foot bed is extremely comfortable and I had no pain on the bottoms of my feet after wearing, only at the blister point above my heel.

Disappointing--poor fit - I've owned several pairs of Trotters (mostly Liz) and loved them. I ordered this style in the same size and width (I have wide feet) and the fit was terrible. I could barely jam my foot in the shoe.

A Plus for Comfort - If you have a narrow foot then Trotters are for you! The leather weaving in the front of this shoe dresses it up. Great with pants suits or slacks. The rounded toe makes this shoe very comfortable and the large rubber heels reduce shock and are kind to the knees. This is a well constructed shoe which I expect will last a good long while.

Trotter's Mackenzie - Very nice shoe for business casual. The edge of the weave pattern felt a little rough against the top of my foot for a couple of days, but broke in pretty quickly. Very pleased with the shoe.

Disappointed in color you call Pewter - This shoe is very comfortable and fits well. I am only disappointed in the color. They have more of a burnished golden color. Not the color I was hoping for.

Heel was stiff and cut high - Like another reviewer I found the heel to sit high and this has taken awhile to break in. It didn't rub or blister but actually cut into my heel. A week of healing wearing other shoes and the addition of moleskin while breaking them in has solved the problem Shoe is attractive and smart enough for a crisp business look.

LOVE this shoe! I usually have a difficult time finding shoes that are comfortable for my wider than average feet. These shoes are excellent, not only in style, comfort but width! I have had many others compliment me on how they look and I have had Trotters before and knew these would be comfortable and stylish too!

This shoe has a lot of style for a flat shoe. My only issue is that the right one is a bit tight across the top (and that's not usually my larger foot) but I'm sure the woven leather will stretch. I think it's true to width (AA) although perhaps a bit uneven.

Returning Shoe - Shoe looks great; looks well made, but it is much more narrow than the size allows (11WW). I can barely get my foot into the shoe. Haven't noticed where it is made, but seems like China to me. Returning the shoe some time this week. Thank you for asking!

I love this shoe! I ordered this shoe in a double width, thanks to my wide forefoot. When I first tried them on, I thought they might be a little stiff and snug. They softened up with just one day's wear, and I am delighted. They look very smart and serious, yet feel like slippers. I knew I had chosen well when the office Fashion Plate complimented them enthusiastically. If my entire foot was wide, this shoe would be perfect fit. As it is, my heels are normal size, so the back slips a bit. Once I add a little snug-thing back there I'm sure they'll be even more comfortable. I adore shopping with Zappos. My husband is impressed with their efficiency and service, too, and he's a tough case!

It seems to me that the Trotter shoes run small so I always order a half size larger than I usually wear. They seem to fit pretty well - were not so comfortable initially, but got better when they were broken in a little more. Very nice looking shoe.

Nice enough but pricey for the style. I had high hope for this shoe, but my heel sits so low in it that my ankle bones are badly chafed on both sides. For the price and the look, which is (I'm sorry to say) a bit dowdy, I don't think it's worth putting a lift in the heel. Perhaps the "MacKenzie" is smarter looking in a color other than black.

Great shoe - I love this shoe, although it is a little stiff right now. I can already tell that wearing the shoes will only make them more comfortable. I am a 10W and fell that the shoe is very true to size. It was a pleasure doing business with Zappos too.

Comfortable right out of the box! My feet are very narrow (my heels were once measured at AAAA), and I have always had problems finding shoes that fit well. This was my first order from Zappos.com, and I chose two pairs hoping that one would fit. The first pair I put on was way too big in both the width and length. These shoes, same size as the first, fit like a dream! The top of the shoe curves a bit, and it took a few days of wearing to get used to where the shoe hit sat on the top of my foot, but it more an issue of getting used to the style/cut, not of comfort. The heels on shoes I wear need to be fairly snug when new so that they will still fit, without flapping around, once they have been worn for a while. These are high quality shoes that will stand up to a lot of wear and tear and walking. I am very happy to have found Zappos and this brand!

I bought these shoes for my mother and she loves them. They are true to size and the texture makes them a little more dressy than smooth leather shoes. The heel is a nice height and is easy to walk in.

Look good--run big. I recently have gone from an 11 to 11.5 due to fallen arches (and middle age!). This 11.5 is too big for me. Plus there was some stretch as I wore them. I put in arch supports and it helps but I think these run long and stretch out some.

Pretty, but not as comfortable as I had hoped - Although I bought AAA width, the heels still slipped, so I had to put three pads in each shoe, in the front and the heel. While one shoe is very comfortable, in the second, I have a lot of pain in a bone just behind the pinky toe. I'm hoping the shoe will stretch, since it's too late to return the shoes. Otherwise, the shoes are lovely--it's just my narrow heels!
