Look:I love Florsheim boots. They fit well, and they are stylish. I stand on my feet all day at work, and their shoes always hold up. I often have to replace the soles (after a couple of years of use) before the uppers have worn out. The Chatman has become an essential part of my wardrobe. Keep them treated (polished/waxed) and they'll last you a long time.

One of the best shoes I have ever worn! This is the third pair of these boots that I have owned over the years. Although I do not wear them every day and only for work, they last and last and are as comfortable when I retire them as when I first put them on. I would definitely recommend.

Classy Dress Boots - I was particularly happy to find a quality boot in my size, (12 EEE). Not only do I use this boot as my Sunday-go-to-meetin' shoes, but I dance in them as well. They are a great fit and broke in quickly. Of course, that is primarily getting the fit right in the first place. Very nice and comfy boots!

Florsheim Review - I have been a Florsheim boot wearer for many, many years and have always enjoyed the quality and style of their products. As for comfort, they are comfortable, but not for long durations. That being said, Florsheims are still my choice of boots.

Quality counts as well as service. I have been a Florsheim customer for the past fifty five years and I was always satisfied with the footwear that is until the most recent purchase. For some reason there was a "click" every time that I wore them? I informed the service/customer department. And they were very professional and directed me to send them back and they would send me a new pair. And that they did, in a couple of days they were on my feet and I was wearing them and have had NO problems what so ever. The mystery of why they CLICKED the way that they did is still a mystery? (I highly recommend this product to any one that wants a great pair of shoes.)

Excellent shoe - After reading other reviews about the Chatman I ordered a size larger and wider than I normally do, this proved to be just right. The shoe was comfortable from the first time I put it on. I have received numerous compliments on the look and it has become one of my favorite pair of shoes.

Best boot with style - This is a great boot. I purchased the Trotter Annie at the same time and this is a much better quality. It’s narrower than specified so it looks good on my narrow foot and its nicely styled.

The Florsheim Chatman - The look you see is exactly what you get! The shoe required absolutely no break-in, comfortable right out of box. My normal width is D, but after reading other reviews I took a chance on 3E, perfect! I got lots of compliments on Thanksgiving Day. I’d compare them with my Moscoloni’s.

Finally have a pair - I found a pair of these in size 11 at DSW and convinced myself they would fit after I broke them in (they felt tight). I was lying to myself, even after having them professionally stretched; they were not pleasant to wear. I finally I broke down and bought a size 13 (I’m usually a 12), and now I see what everyone says about the comfort of these shoes. I recommend buying the ones that feel right when you try them on.

Hurt my feet - I ordered 3E width. The boots were and remain too tight for comfortable wear. Heels are too tall for regular, all day long wear. I have plenty of toe length and that's not the problem. Have caused small toe corns for the first time in my life.

Florsheim Chatman - My husband is absolutely satisfied with this pair of ankle boots, the only disappointment he says is that they aren't available in other colors too - browns, tans, ox blood - or he'd be buying them all! We had to return the first pair (12 D) because he couldn't even get his foot into them. The lady who helped us with the return said that the 12EEE she was sending would more than likely fill the bill. Well, even though I wasn't too sure about that (it's a big stretch from a D to EEE), I felt it didn't hurt to try. BINGO! They fit my husband perfectly! He says “They are extremely comfortable.” The high shine makes this type of boot dressy as well and he's a happy camper now! I can't say enough about Zappos ordering and free return policy. My goodness, one day we ordered and the next day they're here! They just need to let us know if this boot will be available in other colors and when and we'll be knocking on their door again. This was our first time doing business with Zappos, and if you haven't given it a shot yet I guarantee you won't be disappointed when you do.

Look:8 mos later had to stop wearing: going back to Flor Normandy - Weirdly shiny surface, supposedly leather, looks great but shoes never felt quite right. Fit no doubt complicated by having to wear orthotics, but it's never been a factor in my other Florsheims. After 8 months, I've had to stop wearing and gone back to my Florsheim Normandy's - better fit & finish and don't hurt my feet. Additionally, the Chatman's have discolored the heel of every pair of socks I have dark green. No complaints with Zappos' service - excellent throughout.

An amazing shoe - Loved the shoe online, love it more on my feet. Excellent arch support, wonderful quality and craftsmanship, great feel on feet. Great feel & fit, but watch out for non-leather surface - Great look, great fit, great comfort, weird surface material--almost like a shiny plastic. On my pair, weeks after purchase, a cut appeared on the surface membrane, and around the cut it peeled a bit.

Excellent shoe from a great company! This was my first time purchasing shoes from a website. I was not sure about size and width. I ordered 10 1/2 EEE not knowing if the shoe would fit. However, when I received my shoes from Zappos, I was surprised about how nice they felt and about the perfect fit. Zappos provided a great shoe and one that fit better than the ones I could find at my local stores. I will buy my shoes from Zappos from now on.

First time shopper - good dress boot, leather stretches so get 0.5 size smaller than your gym shoes. after 2 wks, the fit will be perfect. the sole is slippery, may require some attention from a shoe doctor.

2 thumbs up for Zappos - I originally bought the Florsheim Duke, but the heel was too high. So, I returned it and exchanged it with the Chatman(with absolutely no problems) and Zappos it to me 2nd day air! Fit wise, I actually like the duke better, my feet felt snug and didn't lift like the Chatman. I'll have to think of something to keep my heel from lifting (moleskin) and it felt a little stiffer than the Duke. The duke felt broken in, and very comfortable. But all in all, I like it. Very stylish.
