Painful - These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. The rope strap cut my ankles so deep; I now have lovely scars to adorn my bare legs this summer. I should have known better, what did I expect the rope to do. Bad choice!!!

I bought these shoes last year. They really are cute and elegant. Classic navy style: navy blue and rope. I paid full price for them after I saw them on a model in a magazine and had to have them. My only complaint is the metal grommet at the end of the rope came off causing the rope to unravel slightly. For that price, that shouldn't happen.

Gorgeous but Uncomfortable - Absolutely love the look of these but they hurt in two places: at the top of the big toe, where they were not tight but were cutting immediately and at the back where the little loop for the rope ties digs into my leg with every step. I also would like them 1/2" to 1/4" lower to be able to wear them for more walking. Too bad.

Gorgeous! I LOVE these shoes! They are absolutely adorable on and are surprisingly comfortable. My only complaint is that I could have used a 1/2 size larger, but they don't have 1/2 sizes.

What a Great Shoe - I bought this shoe because I needed a great espadrille. And I wasn't disappointed. It looks great. It feels good, it’s near perfect. One tiny quibble- the rope part around the ankle started to unravel, but it hasn't diminished the overall great look of this shoe.
