Look:These are legends in style and quality. After a short hiatus from Florsheim wingtips I purchased three pairs of these (Burgundy, Cognac, Black Tumbled ) 3 years ago. Yes, they are heavy and they take a while to properly break-in, but they are bulletproof and long wearing, although insole comfort needs augmenting with an insert if you will be spending more than 9-10 hours in them (I am a big gentleman and can abuse a shoe). Before I even wore them I purchased new cedar shoe trees and had heel taps added, to-date the soles are holding up just fine. Make sure they are properly air dried if they get wet and rotate your shoes every day if possible. Even though I care for them at home, they visit a good cobbler every few months of wear for a good polish and new heel taps. These shoes are classy and make you feel like a million bucks when you walk into a meeting! They look great with a suit or a pair of jeans and I have even had them out on the dance floor. There are many wingtips out there and I almost purchased Allen-Edmonds McClains, but I kept coming back to the authoritative timeless look of the Florsheim Kenmoor Wingtip with a double Goodyear welt sole.

Look:It has been a while since I owned a pair of shoes of this quality and sole thickness but the meet every expectation I ever had. They are comfortable, although stiif in the sole area, at first. The leather lining is alkso comfortable to the foot when walking long distances. The quality of the workmanship in this shoes, certainly justifies the price...completely. Anyone who has served in the military will tell you that the thickness of the sole does make a big difference in walking and and maintaining the ability to keep on walking. Finally, the service from Zappos is second to none and the prompt delivery is exception. I am going for a walk now!\r\nGive them a try and you will agree, I am certain.

Look:I have worn Imperials for years. They are the most comfortable dress shoe I have found, and maintain their appearance and shape for a greater length of time than any other shoe I have purchased. The style never gets stale. I currently own two pairs and are extremely satisfied. This next comment does not need to appear in the review: The color I ordered is not the color or shade that I received. This pair is not tan as shown.

Look:I love these shoes. I ordered an 11 when I normally wear an 11.5 based on other reviews. I thought I had gotten them too small at first because the shoe was so stiff. I am so glad I stuck with them because after wearing them a couple of times, they broke in perfectly and feel like they were made just for my feet. I didn't think a shoe this firm would end up being so comfortable, but they are after a little time wearing them. They aren’t cheap, but they are very well constructed and built to last. I hope they are still making them when I have to replace them in about 20 years.

Once a classic, always a classic - These Florsheim wing tips are all one could ask for if a classic, always in style, dress shoe that can also dress down a bit is what one wants. They are a bit rigid at first, hence the 4 stars for comfort, but break in easily. Very well made and take a brilliant shine, I expect to wear them for a good long while.

Charles from Washington DC - In the past I have purchased J&M dress shoes for about the same price or even a little more. The durability for the price was lacking. My father on wore Florsheim Kenmoors and I should have followed in his footsteps more. The shoe is hard to break in, but well worth it in the end. Great look, great fit and great finish. Very old school.

I thought this sandal fit what I was looking for... but something just wasn’t right with the way it fit me. My feet kept twisting in them. I don’t know if it was the mini arch cushion built in, which felt good, up to a point, but my heel kept feeling like it was sliding off the side of the shoe?! Also, I thought there was nice cushioning at the back half of the shoe, but not enough at the front. Sadly, it had to go back and my search has continued.

LONG TERM WEAR - I bought this shoe twenty years ago and just this last week had it resoled and heeled. They have worn wonderfully and the new soles and heels were so well worth it. I expect another 20 years of service. Wonderful shoe.

Full Throwback Wingtip - This is a no-holds-barred wingtip just like your daddy wore. They makes no compromises for trends or faddish styles. Shine like a mirror. You've probably read that they're uncomfortable at first. They are, but that's because they have a nice, thick, leather sole that doesn't bend at first. And that leather sole is slippery. (My advice, shuffle around a little bit on some concrete). Otherwise, the best way to think of these is like the baseball mitt you had when you were a kid. Remember how inflexible the leather felt at first, and then, over time, how it softened and felt just right in your hand. Be patient. That's the kind of shoes these are. Treat them right (shoe trees!) and you'll be able to pass them along as a family heirloom. On my feet, they felt a half-size larger than marked. Love them, otherwise. Exactly what I wanted.

Breaking in is hard to do. The Florsheim shoe is a well made heavy shoe made to last a long time. As a result, the buyer should be prepared to "break in" this shoe. This will mean a period of wear time that is uncomfortable at best. The pain is worth it though because this shoe is copied by many for the look but not the longevity which is forever!

Dad was always smarter than me! My Dad wore nothing but Florsheim shoes his entire life. He swore by their unequaled comfort and durability. I have tried too many cheaper and lesser quality shoes and have always been disappointed. My wife knew the style and quality that I was looking for and found the Kenmoor-Long Wings on Zappos. I heeded my Dad's advice, albeit 20 years late and bought the long wings (in all 4 styles). I find the shoes to be of superb quality and craftsmanship. They fit excellent and yes they are stiff. I know the break-in will be tough as it was years ago with high quality double leather soled shoes. I am sure it will be worth the effort. Zappos made the ordering and shipping effortless and fast. They even overnighted my shoes when I purchased 3 day shipping.

Purchased this as a potential wedding shoe. I bought it in my normal size (6.5) but this shoe actually felt half a size larger. I couldn't even see my toes through the peep toe and my heel kept sliding out. Will order a 1/2 size smaller to see if it's better. The toe area feels a little narrow. Otherwise a gorgeous shoe! All the bling you can ask for.

Zappos Great; Florsheim Not So Great - The shoes were extremely tight for 11 EEE's. My feet have always either been 10 1/2 EEE or 11 EE, so I went with the 11 EEE to be on the safe side. The shoes hurt my feet terribly. Zappos cus serv, great shipped out new pair immediately. Unfortunately they were just as tight. I kept the originals as they began to stretch. Most painful shoe break-in of my life.

Classic Style - Worth the Price!!! I just purchased my second pair of these shoes (I have had the black ones for a year which I finally broke in and LOVE, and I just bought a pair of the Cognac (brown) ones). Every time I wear them I always get compliments! I had a pair of burgundy one's which I finally wore out (total state of disrepair) which prompted me to buy the brown ones. Before discarding them I found the original receipt in the bottom of the box dated 12/11/1994. I wore those shoes for 14 years before they finally said "enough". So, if you're hesitant to buy this shoe because of the price, think about the thousands of dollars you would spend on shoes over the course of 14 years compared with a one time $225 purchase that will last 14 years! Excellent shoe that I would recommend to anyone!!

Florsheim Imperial --> Kenmore - I have lost count of how many pairs I've owned since I began wearing them in the late '60's...at least 6 over that time. They take a little breaking in, as you would expect of any full leather shoe but with some care -- shoe trees, regular polishing, don't wear the same pair every day, etc., they will resole easily and last for years. Not a light weight shoe but they will fit like an expensive custom made glove. Highly recommended.

Zappos: Florsheim purchase - 1. Perfect fit, I wear narrow, b width and this is hard to find in any store. 2. Quality of shoe is excellent. 3. Very comfortable, gives me great support. I have high arches. 4. Purchasing experience has left me realizing I will probably never buy another shoe at a store. Ordered it one day, received it the next. While I hope never to have to test it, the return process if it did not fit etc... seems just as easy as driving back to a store if purchased in a store...

Nice shoe at reasonable price - I just received my Kenmoors and find them on inspection to be well made and true to size. I usually purchase Allen Edmunds, but since purchasing my last pair three years ago, the prices have risen substantially so I figured I would try another brand. These shoes will definitely need a period of break-in which I am not used to. The sole is very inflexible and I hope it breaks in in a reasonable amount of time.

If you have a true EEE foot, order a half size bigger. I ordered a pair of black and a pair of burgundy 9.5EEE. The 9.5EEE was too narrow. The 10.5EEE was too big. Zappos let me return them both and shipped me two pair of 10EEEs. They fit well and I kept them. Kudos to Zappos for customer service!

Shoe Purchase - Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Not only was I able to find exactly the shoes for which I had been looking, I felt the price was very fair. I had never purchased from Zappos and was a little hesitant to do so, but my experience with this purchase exceeded expectations, as the well worn cliché goes. The first pair I ordered was too large, but the return policy and shipping procedures made the exchange very easy. As a result of this very positive experience, combined with being able to find the quality and value I was seeking, it is highly probable that my next pair of shoes will be the result of another purchase from Zappos.

The shoes look OK nothing to write home about. They are an old style which is fine if you like to be dressed plain. However, if you are looking for look, durability and style, these shoes are not for you.

Great look. Lousy Feel - The shoe looks magnificent, but the fit and feel was atrocious. Stiff and wooden in feel, it was not a comfortable fit at all. Be cautious walking on anything but carpet as the hard sole nearly cost me to take a spill on the lobby floor. The concrete walk from my driveway was another adventure in keeping my balance as the shoe seems to hold no grip. If you wish to sit in a chair and appear to have a wonderful shoe by all means get this one - but keep a pair of decent shoes to actually walk in. I would not recommend this shoe.

Nice traditional shoe - If you want a handsome thick sole wingtip traditional look, here it is. This shoe is for the professional, i.e. sales, law, accounting etc.
