Ankle swelled up during my France trek - I loved these shoes right of the box! I wear them with socks. Fast forward to wearing them walking the streets of Europe...OUCH. They cut into the back of my left ankle, right above my heel. My ankle swelled up in addition to pain with every step. Days later my ankle is still swollen, slowly recovering. I removed the insoles and used Superfeet...same problem. I have narrow feet and am physically fit. Great shoe if you depend on a car.

Sofrito - black color - THIS SHOE IS THE BEST SHOE I OWN!!!!!!!!! Great comfort - as it massages the foot-bed while walking. Great arch support, and great comfort all around! Just putting on this shoe gives me a lot of energy because I feel like I could walk/run forever! Very light-weight, and cute! I wore this shoe all semester around college, and it helped me stay out of any shoe-pain! I recommend this shoe to anyone and everyone - you wont regret it!

Cool! I wear 7 1/2 to 8 in shoes ordered a 7-1/2 in this shoe. When first got thought might be a little tight but they "broke" in very easily. Very comfortable shoe! I have trouble with my feet hurting at my part time job, because I stand a lot. Wore these all day Sunday and my feet did not bother me near as much as in any other shoe, and I have tried all kinds!! Would recommend this shoe!!!

Wide toe box is great if you have bunions like I do. Cushiony footbed lets you walk in these shoes all day. My foot is on the wide side, so these are a great fit for me. Though the left shoe does give my little toe some discomfort, I solve that by wrapping my toe in Dr. Scholl's padded moleskin. I can wear these shoes with pants in the office and look comfortably stylish. I would buy this brand again.

Chocolate Sofrito - The shoe is awesome. It rubbed my heel for a couple days but it formed to my foot. Then it fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and cute. Great with jeans and khakis!

My new favorite shoes - I bought these on vacation because the shoes I bought were just not comfy enough for a lot of walking. These were wonderful out of the box, no breaking in necessary. I usually wear 7.5 D but the 8 fit well. And I have a high arch. Now I'm checking out Zappos for other colors in this style and the rest of the Privo line.

First pair wonderful - second pair - not SO wonderful! Ordered these shoes last year (April 07) and just like everyone else, they fit wonderfully right out of the box. Very, very comfortable - no need to “break in". Perfect. Bought them to wear for 3 week trip to Europe, wore every single day. Walked for miles - no blisters - just perfect. FAST FORWARD to June 08 - now my "perfect" shoes are almost all worn down (I wear them almost every single day!). Ordered ANOTHER pair in same exact size, same style, different color - opted for the nubuck leather so the trim is different... got them and left shoe is too tight and rubbed on heel. Not comfortable at all. Gave them 2 days of carpet/tile wear - still not happy. Returned them for another pair identical to first pair - all nubuck and I am miserable… EVEN TIGHTER and MORE UNCOMFORTABLE ! Couldn't even get them on without a shoehorn, rubbed both back heels. Tried them for over 2 hrs, could NOT stand the discomfort, am returning them . I have no idea how same shoe, style, size, and model can have completely different feel. Loved the "Zappos" experience - they couldn't be nicer or make it easier, but after 2 tries - I give up... ( at least with these shoes). First pair would get all 5 stars - second and third pair only 1-2 stars...

Love this shoe! I own 3 colors of the same shoe. I wore them on 2 trips to Africa last year and with all the walking my feet still felt great! I wear them almost everyday to work; as a teacher I am on my feet all day and they are my favorite shoes!

Great shoe all around - no problems at all!! I was hesitant to order this after reading all the comments about the heel problems with this shoe, but I was so anxious to find something for an upcoming trip. They are fabulous shoes & I am not disappointed at all! I am not having any problems with the heel rubbing, maybe because I am wearing socks -- I figure if I'm going to go w/out socks, I'll wear sandals. Yes, it would be better if Clarks would make the heel back cushioned (why don't they listen to all this feedback??!!) This shoe is SO cute, the insole is SO comfortable and cushioned, it really is comparable to my winter SoftWalk shoes. I am thrilled to find this -- perfect for spring/summer in the grey/silver combo -- will order in the black for next fall & winter.

Love these and they fit nicely. The only problem is that the heel cup sits a tad high and rubs slightly - that is my only complaint. They are very light, fit nicely, look good, and are comfy… other than the heel cup.

Great shoes, but they squeak - I love the shoes. They look good, they're light, and they're comfortable - I can walk for miles with no problem. Plus, I love that there are no laces to come untied, but about two weeks after getting the shoes, I starting noticing that they squeaked. LOUDLY! Even when they're completely dry, they continue to squeeeak! People turn around when I walk down the street, the squeaking is so loud. (They're such great shoes that I still wear them though.)

Good city shoe - These shoes are cute; they slip on and look modern but still classic somehow. As other reviewers mentioned the heel kind of digs in, which isn't great; I'm hoping that subsides soon since I've only worn them a handful of times.

Great - I just spent two months trekking in Southeast Asia and had with me two pairs of Privo Sofrito shoes. They were absolutely wonderful and I didn't feel tired at all after walking 4 hours. I understand they want to discontinue this style and I think it would be a mistake. I had many compliments and left both pairs for people in Asia.

Comfy, but not especially stylish - Do a lot of traveling and walking so looking for a shoe that I could slip out of easily at the airport, but were good for walking on cobblestones. These are lighter weight than traditional walking shoes, but think they will hold up well. Thinking of buying another pair.

Exactly what I wanted - I'd been on a shoe quest for some time to find some cute slip on semi-athletic, but cute and appropriate enough for my mostly casual office and I finally found them. They are supremely comfortable! A few others have complained about the back of the heel, which yes is a bit high, but it hasn't bothered me much after the first few days once everything softened up. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever had.

Love the Privo Sofrito - I have had another pair of Privos before and loved them. They are so comfortable, I spent an entire 10 day vacation walking all over Europe in them and my feet felt great. The cushioning on the bottom and the flexibility of the top really gives you a comfortable fit. I love these shoes and plan on buying more.

Privo Sofrito - I love these shoes! I now have 3 pair. They are exceptionally comfortable, and they look good for the gym or with jeans. I can walk in them for hours without my feet hurting. Great vacation shoes.

Fantastic shoe - I have a bad back and usually have to wear orthotics, but not with these shoes!!! They are comfortable from the minute you first slip them on!! No breaking in period. I can walk all day with no back pains, love Privo shoes! Won’t wear anything else anymore!!!

Cute but rubbed my heel - These shoes were very cute and could have gone with most of my outfits but they rubbed on my heel. I wanted them to work out but oh well. Cute shoe, just know that the heel is higher then most shoes I wear now.

I have 2 other Privo shoes that are similar but this style dug into my heel and caused a blister even though it is the same size and width.

Stylish and comfortable - I like these shoes, but had to order them a half size smaller than what I normally wear. My only complaint is that the shoe rises fairly high a the back of the heel and until I break it in, it may give me a blister. I have added some heel guards to mitigate this. I wanted these to walk around London and Paris in comfort and to also have something to run around the city in. I think these will work well if the heel situation works itself out!
