Look:These boots are very comfortable. I got the C width since I have a very high instep/arch. I usually order a W or WW if it\'s available, but in this boot the C width works just fine. I have no trouble at all putting them on or pulling them off. The length may run half a size larger in this style, as it\'s a little loose. The distressed brown color I received is a little lighter in color than in the photo, not darker like some of the other reviewers received.

Look:I usually wear a size 7B or 7C, depending on the shoe. With boots, I have to wear a 7C, and fortunately I was able to get these boots in that size. I'm a city girl and these are my first pair of anything resembling a cowboy boot. The leather started out a little stiff, but they are easy for me to get on and off. As other people have said, they are a little darker and more subdued than they look in the picture. Overall, I am very pleased with these boots and look forward to wearing them for a long time!

Look:To back up a few comments: Very hard to get on! Once they're on, however, fit very well. Not as hard to get off. The heel is loose, will probably need an insert. I wear 8-8.5 and the size 8 fit me well. A little rough at the ankle bone, but should loosen with time. Wide at the tops. Toe is rounded, but seem a little more pointy, narrow than the picture suggests. Distressed is closer to a walnut color than a camel. They seem to be very well made with a nice rubber sole.

Look:After all the complaints about the boots being too tight, I was expecting to have to shoehorn my foot in. I normally wear a 9.5-10 medium width. In other Ariat shoes, I\'ve worn 9.5. So I ordered both a 9.5 and a 10. I pulled the 9.5 out first, saw that the insert was out already, so I put my foot in tentatively...waiting for the tight spot. It didn\'t come. My foot not only went in but was loose. So I put in the insert. If anything, there\'s a bit of looseness at the heel even with the insert that will take some thick socks. I just hope they don\'t stretch out more or I\'m in trouble! Very well made boot.

Look:The boot color is darker than shown in the picture, which is better, I think. I have a wide foot, but not heel, so these in wide are a bit big in the heel area. The shorter height tends to rub my calf uncomfortably both riding and just walking around. Not thinking that\'s the boot\'s fault, but something to consider.

Look:Ariat brand is absolutely the most reliable shoe for comfort, style and function. These ropers are excellent. The real(working) horsemen and women at our barn wear them. These boots don\'t disappoint. The reason Ariat leads the pack is the instant comfort. "Break-in" time, if any, is about two hours.

If you can get them on- VERY COMFY! I've had these boots for a year and LOVE them. They were tough to get on and I had to wear a thin sock to begin with. Once I had them on- they fit like a glove. These are my favorite boots to wear with jeans- I wore them all day in Las Vegas walking around- as comfy as tennis shoes. I wear an 8.5 and these were true to size-I have other Ariat boots for riding and wear an 8.

Look:Actual color is a lot better. They are a little hard to get off, but I'm sure they'll get easier with more time. Extremely comfortable. I wore them around the house for a while to make sure I wouldn't get blisters when I wore them riding, and they were so comfortable I just left them on. I highly recommend them.

Great Looking Boot! Comfy Too! Okay- true what they say about getting your foot in the boot- tough at first, but worth the work : ) Very comfy... they rub your inner ankle a tiny bit but still comfy.

Perfect boot - Ordered Sunday, got them Tuesday, put them on immediately, and know I will live in these for the next few months. After reading the reviews about being hard to get on I almost bought a boot horn before they came but I had no trouble, and I have a pair of boots that I do fight to get into but these are not a problem with the knee highs I wear. Also the brown color is much better than pictured. Love these. Love Zappos.

These boots are so comfortable. Wore them to a football game the first night and had no problems. Other than the difficulty getting them on that all of the other reviews have covered. They loosen up by the third try. The leather is a great look and the rubber sole seems to be a bit warmer than the leather sole boots. I also have a large calf and these boots are a bit lower cut than most boots so the fit is comfortable.

Basic and functional - They were a bit tight and I kept the Ariat Heritage Western boots I ordered at the same time. They were a lot cuter and more comfortable. These were pretty tight and not as comfortable.

Great boots - These boots cradle my feet supportively and don't chafe anywhere. They have a snug fit with the two innersoles, but as I step the soles rub each other and squeak a bit. I powder them and that helps a bit. Nicely padded but not over soft foot bed, though the padding does mean that I sweat if I wear them barefoot (which looks cute). They look great with everything in a casual way. Love the mid-calf height.

Work boots with style - These boots slipped on my feet right away - comfortable from the start. I usually have trouble getting boots on or breaking them in, but not these. I work outdoors and wear them everyday - they are holding up nicely and my feet never hurt. And they look great, too.

Getting used to it - Once this boot is actually on it feels like it fits properly, is a comfortable walking boot as well as a good riding boot. Getting it on is tough, but becoming easier each time. I am still trying to figure out the best socks to wear with it.

This boot is surprisingly comfortable -- wore them the first for 10 hours straight and not a bit of discomfort. The top part of the boot is way too wide for skinny calves, but paired with a cute skirt, they still looked trendy and fashionable. The color looks MUCH BETTER than pictured -- they are a dark caramel brown.

The real deal... These boots are wonderful! I have owned and worn Ariat western boots for about 8 years now. I live/work on a farm and needed some good boots for daily wear. Lots of walking on my feet most every day. I decided to try these since my other Ariats were so comfortable. I'm so glad I did; they were broken in within two days and now feel like they were made for my feet. They are the "real deal"; they are a very good-looking boot as well as being very functional for being outdoors, feeding livestock, fixing fence, clearing land. They are just unbelievably comfortable, especially after a couple of days. They just mold to your feet like good leather boots do. Highly recommended for a good-looking and wearable boot.

Great boot, but runs very large. Wear an 8 or 8.5, returned this one with absolutely no problem and received the exchanged boots next day. Wonderful service.

Great Boots - I loved my Ropers so much I ordered a second pair to put in the closet. Most comfortable I've ever had. The second pair did come a little wider than the first, but that's ok. I can wear heavy socks with them.
